The Virginia School Counselor Association (VSCA) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify a qualified individual or company to serve as its Executive Director. The position will be retained on an independent contractor basis, as further described below.

VSCA welcomes responses from individual consultants, association management firms, and other qualified entities. Organizational proposers should identify the staff member(s) who will hold day-to-day responsibility for delivering the scope of services.

In Virginia, the school counseling profession has made incredible strides and we need new leaders to keep this momentum going.  Our board is a fun, committed group with a wide array of personal and professional experiences.  Each director serves a three-year term.  In July, we will welcome three new Directors to join the VSCA Governing Board.

The VSCA would love your help with our committees.  VSCA committees include Advocacy & Government Relations, Communications & Public Relations, Conference, Membership, Professional Development, and Research & Graduate Student Engagement.  Please reach out to the chair/co-chair of any committee that you are interested in serving on for more information.
