Advocacy is a critical part of school counseling.  Whether advocating for the role of the school counselor in your building or attending Legislative Day to make changes at the state level, it is up to each school counselor in Virginia to support the profession.  Additionally, almost 1/3 of your membership dues goes toward funding two associates at David Bailey Associates to lobby for school counselors in the state of Virginia.  Our associates at David Bailey Associates have been instrumental in assisting VSCA to make legislative changes at the state level.
